As a business owner, I appreciate a company that stands behind its products. As a pet owner, I appreciate a product that actually does what it claims to do. Jolly Pets~ Jolly Ball is exactly that. It is not only environmentally friendly, but it is also pet friendly.

I have a lab mix that is both a digger and a chewer. He wandered into our lives at the beginning of 2011 and since then has gone through ball after ball and chew toy after chew toy. My main concern about his chewing was that he would swallow something that could hurt him.

After doing a thorough internet search, I came upon the Jolly Pets company. They have a product line that is designed specifically for dogs. What caught my attention was their claim that their balls are made of 100% non-toxic polyethylene plastic making them durable and since their balls don’t need air for inflating, it makes them very long lasting. The reviews I have read about the Jolly Ball have all been very positive, so I decided to give it a try.

We purchased our Jolly Ball in October and after more than a month; I must say that it is fantastic! The handle shows some signs for chewing and there are scratch marks on the surface of the ball, but our dog absolutely loves it! He plays with it for hours and I don’t have to be concerned about him swallowing anything he shouldn’t.

If you have a dog that chews, I highly recommend the Jolly Ball. Don’t just take my word for it. Try it out yourself today and let me know how well you like it.

This last observation concludes this series but its one of my favorites. I hope its one of your favorites too.

Hugs are Amazing- If you can’t do it all yourself, you’ve fallen and are having a hard time getting back up, no one seems to be paying attention to you, hugs are amazing. Find someone you can turn to when things happen. Someone that can give you boost of confidence, encouragement or uplifting.

Its okay to cry sometimes but having someone there to give you a big hug will really do wonders for you. It can be a parent, mentor, coach or even just a best friend. Knowing that you have that support when you need it is truly amazing!

Navigating through the joyful times and the hard times is all apart of this process we call life. Whether its your personal life or your business, having someone there to travel with makes all the difference. A soft word and a big hug can change a situation in an instant. Hug often and love always!

There is a world of wonder and adventure just waiting to be explored and we can all do it together. Feel free to leave your comments and pass on some of your own observation. Its a learning process for all of us, I’m glad you are here with me.

Here is another observation I’ve made and one that I hear a lot at this stage in a 2 year old’s development. Can you relate?

I Can Do It Myself - Independence is so important to us. We learn at an early age that there are things that we can definitely do ourselves but many times we have to be taught how to do them first. Sure I can tie my own shoes, but someone had to show me how to do it first.

Independence doesn’t always mean that we have to go it alone. Its okay to ask for help if you aren’t sure of what you are doing. Once you learn, then you can do it yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.

It can be a training session you take, hiring a mentor or coach, finding a virtual assistant to help you and so on. There are so many different ways we can learn how to do the things we want to and gain our independence.

Saying ‘I can do it myself’ can be very liberating when you have the confidence in knowing that you really can do it yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, its a learning process for all of us!

Leave me a comment and give me some more suggestions on how you have learned to do it yourself.

As I continue with my observations in this series I hope you have enjoyed reading them as much as I have enjoyed writing them.

Sometimes You Have to Make Some Noise to Get Some Attention- Its not always that easy to get the attention that you need. If you get hurt or someone isn’t nice, you might need attention, but how do you get it if you are just another little cute face in the crowd? You make some noise.

Now I’m not saying that screaming at the top of your voice or throwing blocks is the right way to go, but finding a way to make yourself stand out can really get attention. Maybe you are the quiet, ‘go and tell the teacher’ type, or maybe you are the ‘outside voice all time’ type, find a way to stand out and people will notice you.

Once you have their attention, be sure to let them know what the noise was all about. If you are hurt, explain the situation and see if there is a way to make things right again. If you have something great to show people, perhaps a new product or service you are offering, make that offer amazing so they will be sure to return and check you out again.

Find a unique way to make some noise and even the ‘silent, shy’ type can gain some much needed attention. Its up to you, get as loud as you want!

Feel free to leave a comment and give some suggestions on how to make some noise for your life and business.

That’s why so many people use the tools of the internet to provide great services. I like helping others who want to use WordPress to deliver those services in one way or another…either by building a WordPress website to deliver products, servicing clients by updating their websites or by teaching others.

1. Build It - Whether it’s for yourself or for your clients, building a website with WordPress is smart!

2. Update It - WordPress is used by 22% of all new websites… a great opportunity for
work there.

Yet another observation in my series ‘What I’ve Learned From a 2 Year Old’. See if you can find areas that it might apply to your life and business.

Falling is Simply Apart of the Process- When you first learn to walk, there is a lot of falling down. Its okay to take a moment to cry once you fall but the accomplishment comes when you can pick yourself up and try again. Falling is simply apart of the process of getting better. Once you have fallen you have a choice a to make, do you stay down and just give up- hoping that someone else will do it for you? Or, do you get back up, brush yourself off and keep on going? Its up to you to determine how far you will succeed.

At some point in our life and business we have fallen down. We all make mistakes, that is what makes us human. Its how we handle things after we’ve fallen that really make a difference. Its okay to hold someone’s hand until you can walk on your own, the important thing is, once you have fallen, get right back up and continue on.

Don’t let one misstep take away all the great adventures and joys that life has to offer you.

Again, feel free to leave a comment and any suggestions that you might have on the best ways to recover from a fall in life and business.

Take someone’s hand and lets walk this journey out together!

I have a true passion for working with children. Here is just another observation I have made over the years. Perhaps it can help you in your business and life.

The Power Nap- After a long morning of playing, learning, exploring and adventures, the one thing that can easily re-energize the power supply is a nap. Whether its 10 minutes or an hour, a nap does everyone good. Perhaps you aren’t a napper, well then a short period of meditation and relaxation can work the same way. Whether its some form of exercise, a long walk with the dog, a nice soak in the tub, or even just a 20 minute power nap, everyone needs some form of ‘me time’.

Take a few moments out of your busy schedule to power up and you will see that things begin to flow more easily and you feel refreshed.

As always, feel free to leave a comment and give a suggestion on ways you use to get that extra energy back during your busy day.

Along with a passion to help others in business and life, I also have a strong passion for working with children. I have been working with children since I was 12 years old and I love every minute of it. Currently I am working in our church nursery and here are just a few observations I’ve made.

Snack Time is the Right Time- What is more enjoyable than goldfish and cartoons? I’ve found that its easier to teach a short lesson and get a color page done while the kids are sitting at the table eating their snack. They are calm, quiet and ready to get the job done.

Sometimes we need to take a moment to just enjoy a nice snack, relax and refocus on the tasks at hand. Even just taking a few moments to enjoy a nice apple, watch a television show you recently recorded and just be still will allow you to get more things accomplished once you are ready to work again.

We all need to take a break once in a while to help us refocus, re-prioritize and regroup. You might find that you can get more things done once you have had a chance to step back and take a breath.

This is just one of the many observations I’ll be posting here. Feel free to leave a comment and give some of your own suggestions on how you use snack time to help you get more things done.

Life is an adventure..Let’s explore it together!
