Here is another observation I’ve made and one that I hear a lot at this stage in a 2 year old’s development. Can you relate?
I Can Do It Myself – Independence is so important to us. We learn at an early age that there are things that we can definitely do ourselves but many times we have to be taught how to do them first. Sure I can tie my own shoes, but someone had to show me how to do it first.
Independence doesn’t always mean that we have to go it alone. Its okay to ask for help if you aren’t sure of what you are doing. Once you learn, then you can do it yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
It can be a training session you take, hiring a mentor or coach, finding a virtual assistant to help you and so on. There are so many different ways we can learn how to do the things we want to and gain our independence.
Saying ‘I can do it myself’ can be very liberating when you have the confidence in knowing that you really can do it yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, its a learning process for all of us!
Leave me a comment and give me some more suggestions on how you have learned to do it yourself.
